Larry bought me a new Schwinn bicycle today (I bought it he paid for it :)).  If you noticed the big 'S' on the seat, that is for Sider.  In Phoenix and area they developed the land alongside of the canals, which are for recreational use, such as biking, hiking, dog walking, etc..  The paths are approximately 40 miles long, some are concrete and others hard packed dirt & gravel.  I spent the evening checking out part of the  Western Canal pathways around the Tempe area, which was absolutely beautiful.  I biked along a golf course, beautiful scenery along the way, and I stopped at the Kiwanis Park at the Tempe Lake.  People were taking advantage of the beautiful  evening around the lake, by watching the ducks & birds, fishing, picnicking, etc... everybody and his dog were out this evening!
